The City Council invites locals and visitors alike to the Gran Fiesta del Encendido del Alumbrado (Great Christmas Lights Switch-On Party). This staggered event allows you to experience the lighting ceremonies across all three main districts of the city in a single evening.

The Schedule: Don’t miss a moment of the magic. The festivities move through the city as follows:

• 18:00h – Benalmádena Pueblo: The journey begins at Plaza de las Tres Culturas. Enjoy the historic charm of the old village as it lights up for the season.
• 19:00h – Benalmádena Costa: The celebration moves to the seaside at Plaza Solymar, bringing festive cheer to the coast.
• 20:00h – Arroyo de la Miel: The grand finale takes place at Plaza de la Iglesia. This is typically the liveliest spot with the largest gathering to welcome Christmas.
