Málaga Carnival 2026: Party and Colour on the Streets

Get ready for Málaga’s first big celebration of the year! The Malaga Carnival 2026 is scheduled to take place from Saturday, February 7 to Sunday, February 15, 2026. Therefore, this nine-day event marks the vibrant start of the period before Lent.

Specifically, most major events are free and held in public spaces, centered on the historic quarter and the main stage in Plaza de la Constitución. Furthermore, you can expect colorful parades, satirical singing groups (Coplas), costumes, and the famous ‘Burial of the Anchovy’ (Entierro del Boquerón) which marks the festival’s end at Malagueta beach.
