While the original story focused on arranged marriages\, this contemporary version tackles modern issues. The plot examines the reality of “sugar babies\,” the influence of social media\, and the silence imposed on victims. Furthermore\, it reflects a society that offers power in exchange for morality while ignoring inherited lack of empathy. Consequently\, the play exposes the educational and social decay of a world seemingly destined for failure. \nAward-Winning Local Talent\nThe Málaga-based company Jóvenes Clásicos specializes in bringing classic texts to modern audiences. José Carlos Cuevas directs this production\, which was a finalist at the 2024 CINTA awards.
