We are looking for a Design Manager to join the Spanish branch of our global Mission Critical Facilities (MCF) team in Málaga. In this role, you will be at the forefront of the global digital revolution, shaping 21st-century transformation through innovative and sustainable data centres.
🏗️ YOUR MISSION: SHAPING WORLD-CLASS DATA CENTRES
As a Design Manager, your expertise will be key in ensuring the reliability and profitability of Data Centre investments worldwide. You will work with some of the most demanding customers in the world using advanced 3D design tools to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Project Governance: Manage the scope-of-work, design budget, and contract documents for each unique project.
- Schedule Mastery: Follow and update design delivery schedules and effectively distribute the workload within your team.
- Multidisciplinary Coordination: Optimize designs by coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and external parties.
- Technical Leadership: Lead and challenge design solutions and changes to ensure excellence.
- Innovation: Create and communicate innovative ideas and designs to both the client and the team.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the optimization of internal business processes and share knowledge within your field.
✅ WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM
We are seeking an entrepreneurial, result-oriented individual with a proactive and problem-solving attitude.
- Education: A Master’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Professional History: Over 5 years of experience managing multidisciplinary design, engineering, and construction projects.
- Sector Knowledge: Experience in data centres or other relevant mission-critical sectors is preferred.
- Digital Affinity: Familiarity with automated design and engineering processes, such as BIM360 and CDE.
- Operational Insight: A solid understanding of standard practices in the design/construction industry and the daily business needs of clients.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills with fluency in English. Spanish, Dutch, or German skills are considered a plus.
