Specifically, you will combine high-level culinary creativity with operational leadership to ensure that every dish reflects the excellence of the Meliá brand.
Job Description: Restaurant Chef (Chiringuito)
🚀 Your Mission: Culinary Strategy & Innovation
As the Restaurant Chef, your primary goal involves guaranteeing the efficiency of your team and the superior quality of every dish produced. Therefore, you will closely supervise every step of the process—from the initial seasoning to the final artistic presentation. By doing so, you will ensure high guest satisfaction and secure their preference for our unique beachfront dining concept.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Culinary Leadership: Take full responsibility for the quality, preparation, and presentation of all food in the assigned kitchen.
- Team Efficiency: Supervise and mentor employees to ensure peak performance and a collaborative work environment.
- Gastronomic Creativity: Lead the initiative in creativity, dish composition, and seasoning to delight guests.
- Strategic Implementation: Execute new culinary concepts, pilot projects, and company-wide gastronomic strategies.
- Economic Management: Utilize economic management and analytical tools to monitor kitchen performance and cost efficiency.
- Safety & Hygiene: Strictly enforce food handling, hygiene, and food safety standards (HACCP/APPCC).
- Operational Alignment: Coordinate with different hotel service types to ensure a seamless guest experience.
✅ Who You Are
- The Expert: You bring at least 3 years of experience in a similar leadership role within 4 or 5-star hotels.
- The Professional: You hold a university degree in Tourism, with specialized training in Gastronomy/Culinary Arts.
- The Strategist: You stay current with culinary trends and innovation. Furthermore, you demonstrate high capacity in planning and organization.
- Analytical Leader: You possess strong leadership and communication skills, with experience managing diverse culinary teams.
- Tech Savvy: You demonstrate mastery of the Microsoft Office suite and digital tools linked to kitchen management.
- The Linguist: You possess an advanced level of English, enabling you to lead effectively in an international environment.
