Backend Developer – Senior Backend Processes

We believe that a human-oriented practice of technology is the key to progress. We are looking for a Backend Developer who is driven, committed to high-quality code, and ready to tackle complex data challenges within our Málaga-based (but remote-friendly) team.

III. YOUR MISSION & TECHNICAL FOCUS

In this role, you will be at the heart of our Data & Technology activity, implementing major transformation projects for international clients. You will manage the entire software lifecycle, from design to production promotion.

Core Responsibilities:

• Big Data Processing: Design and develop robust backend processes using Spark and Scala.
• Database Mastery: Develop complex SQL/PL-SQL queries and perform deep data analysis.
• Agile Delivery: Participate in Scrum or Kanban ceremonies to ensure continuous, high-quality delivery.

• Software Lifecycle: Manage software promotion across environments, ensuring cybersecurity validation and high code quality.
• Collaboration: Work within a multicultural team on high-impact international projects.

IV. WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM

We are looking for a developer who combines technical expertise with a “proactive, can-do” attitude.

Must-Haves:

• Technical Depth: 3–4 years of experience specifically in Spark/Scala.
• SQL Skills: At least 2 years of experience with complex SQL and 1 year with PL/SQL.
• Agile Background: Minimum 3 years working with Scrum or Kanban.
• Delivery Excellence: Experience with deployment pipelines, testing frameworks, and cybersecurity tools.
• Communication: Intermediate English level (B2).
• Software Management: Proven experience in software promotion and lifecycle management across environments.

Valuable Extras:

• Knowledge of Azure Databricks.
• Experience with Python/PySpark or microservices architectures.
• Familiarity with Data Visualization tools like Power BI or Qlik Sense.
