Tech Leader – Microservices & Big Data

CAREER OPENING: TECH LEADER (MICROSERVICES & BIG DATA) | MÁLAGA

We are currently seeking an Expert Tech Leader to join our CDAIO Tech & Engineer team in Málaga, Spain.

In this hands-on leadership role, you will act as the technical reference for the Datatooling platform, combining strategic vision with strong execution capabilities.

1. LEADERSHIP & ARCHITECTURAL EVOLUTION

As the Tech Leader, you will drive the technical direction of our application and Big Data ecosystems. Furthermore, your influence will ensure high-quality delivery aligned with data governance needs.

• Technical Governance: Act as the primary point of reference for the Datatooling platform.
• Architecture Ownership: Define, evolve, and govern microservices architectures and REST APIs.
• Database Leadership: Lead the integration and optimal use of ElasticSearch, Redis, and PostgreSQL.
• Data Processing: Drive the design of data processing solutions using Spark and Databricks.
• Orchestration: Oversee the scheduling of data workflows using Airflow and Control-M.
• Standards & Mentoring: Define technical best practices, promote technical excellence, and mentor team members.
• Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify technical risks and define mitigation plans to ensure reliability and performance.

2. CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a technical expert with a proven track record in distributed systems and scalable architectures.

• Core Experience: Proven experience as a Tech Leader or in a Senior Technical role within microservices-based architectures.
• API Design: Strong expertise in REST API design and governance.
• Application Stack: Hands-on experience with ElasticSearch, Redis, and PostgreSQL.
• Big Data Stack: Solid experience with Apache Spark, Databricks, Airflow, and Control-M.
• Methodology: Strong experience working in Agile environments.
• Preferred Skills: Experience with Data Governance platforms (e.g., TrueDat/IBM), Docker, Kubernetes, and Cloud platforms.
