Event Announcement: A Symphonic Carnival with the Malaga Philharmonic Orchestra
The Orquesta Filarmónica de Málaga continues its concert season with an evocative performance titled Program 03. This event takes place on Friday, January 16, 2026, at the Edgar Neville Auditorium in Malaga. The evening is set to be a celebration of orchestral energy and melodic mastery, featuring a repertoire that bridges the works of Antonín Dvořák and Hector Berlioz.
Under the baton of acclaimed conductor Pawel Przytocki, the concert will open with two vibrant overtures. Dvořák’s Carnival Overture, Op. 92, and Berlioz’s Roman Carnival, Op. 9, will set a spirited tone for the night, showcasing the orchestra’s precision and dynamic range. The second half of the program is dedicated to Dvořák’s Eighth Symphony in G major, Op. 88. This symphony is celebrated for its lyrical beauty and folk-inspired themes, moving from the intensity of the Allegro con brio to the graceful Allegretto and concluding with a powerful finale.
The event will be presented by Ana Laura Iglesias, providing historical context and musical insights to enhance the audience’s experience. This performance offers a unique opportunity for classical music enthusiasts to witness high-caliber artistry in one of Malaga’s premier cultural venues.
